Whether you’re finding this article as the curtain is closing on this holiday season and the cold days have begun to take a toll, or while in the middle of summer desperate to remedy your overexposure to the sun, each product will assist in restoring the moisture levels to your thirsty skin.
LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb
I am a sucker for LUSH products. Our love affair, though once long distance, began about a decade ago. When the first LUSH store opened locally in Nashville last year, I found myself momentarily frozen by overwhelming excitement coupled with fear for my bank account. The cost of LUSH products are not exactly “broke college student”, “struggling single mom” or, in my case, “my husband thinks everything costs too much” friendly, which is likely why there are countless DIY recipe dupes on Pinterest. Truly, though, the quality of their products, for the most part, trump their competitors and wannabes.
This bath bomb is, without any hesitation, my absolute favorite for the winter time. It isn’t shimmery, fancy, colorful and bright like many of the others. It is the simplest in terms of appearance, however appearances are deceiving in this case. The scent, with notes of butter, sugar and vanilla, is warm and comforting, yet not overpowering. Once I (kind of) pacified my sugar cookie craving by merely splashing in a bath with this gem. Most importantly, though, this understated little fluff-producing ball is packed full of cocoa butter bits. It will comfort, smooth, and soften every square inch of your bath-immersed body.

Shea Terra Organics Shea Butter Extreme
It is impossible for me to use more than a mere dot size of this product and be comfortable. So why are you recommending it, do you ask? The reason for my inability to liberally use this incredible product, which I consider to be a fountain of delicious hydration in a jar, is because it is far too emollient for my skin, which is an often cesspool of overactive sebaceous glands. I am oily from head to toe and my husband often jokes that I have a built-in supply of body lotion. The truth is, even when a product or environment temporarily strips the excessive oil from my skin, I simply become more normal but never truly dry. This product does not fully absorb when I apply it because my oily skin rejects its highly emollient texture.
This body butter is ideal for a person with dry, chapped and thirsty skin in need of comfort and repair. Best of all, the ingredients are almost entirely organic. I introduced this product to a friend of mine recently and, upon using it for a week, she proclaimed she could never appreciate another body cream or butter to such a degree again.
I consider the gingered pumpkin scent to be the best, for it is so delicious and tempting that I once (almost) contemplated taking a bite out of my own arm. Apply this to your body, and your crush or significant other will likely follow you around and bury their face into your skin all day long, drooling into the night.

Nubian Naturals Soaps
I lather my skin with these precious soaps in my shower nearly every day of my life, regardless of the season. I reach for the shea butter bar and the indian hemp bar the most often. The shea butter formula has a delicate and calming lavender scent, which I find ideal for a bath at night.
I purchased the Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver bar, which I consider to be my favorite, on a whim while browsing at Whole Foods one day. Do not be deceived by the name, for it smells amazing, exotic and sexy! It is aromatic and mildly sweet, and actually has a somewhat fruity scent. It is difficult to describe in terms of scent, but is incredibly alluring. Some have said they smell cucumbers, but I don’t detect that. There is a subtle hint of musk, however the scent remains quite feminine overall.
Moisturizing and smoothing, this bar contains neem oil, which is used in Indian culture to calm and nurture the skin. The lather is creamy and silky. If you have normal or dry skin, I highly recommend trying this. I look forward to delighting in its scrumptiousness and silkiness every time I shower.
This retails for approximately $4.99 USD. One bar of soap will last you months, even with daily use.

MyChelle Creamy Pumpkin Cleanser
Mychelle produces superior products, and I own an arsenal of them. This cleanser will remove every trace of makeup, exfoliate the skin gently and leave your face feeling smooth and hydrated. Even if your skin is not necessarily dry, the use of heaters during the winter months is enough to pull the moisture from your otherwise dewy skin. For many, however, this cleanser will be ideal for use year-round.

Sea Buckthorn Oil
I had observed this product on the shelves of my local Vitamin Shoppe for a couple of years now, however I never felt compelled to try it until a few months ago. I faithfully take Evening Primrose Oil on a daily basis, an excellent source of omega 6, which I discussed in this article. I also understand the importance of omega 3 and thus have experimented with various sources, concluding that standard fish oil supplements do not agree with my body. I typically opt to manage my omega 3 intake with my diet, ensuring that I eat plenty of chia seeds, flax seeds and wild salmon on a regular basis.
I had read that Sea Buckthorn Oil is an excellent source of omega 7, which is a fatty acid I was unfamiliar with. When I researched further, I learned that this oil is not only a source of omega 7, but of all of the essential fatty acids. After several months of faithful use, I find that my body responds happily and with gratitude to this supplement. I have noticed an increase in glow and an improvement in both skin softness and texture. Additionally, I have noticed that my new hair growth has regained a noticeable luster and sheen.
If you suffer from dry, drab skin or dull hair, I highly recommend giving this supplement a try.

Source Naturals Skin Eternal Hyaluronic Acid
This product has the potential to plump, smooth and hydrate your entire face and body in a matter of days. I am not always faithful with it and often take long breaks from it, however results are noticeable and consistent each time period I take it religiously. Many beauty supplements are marketed with lavish claims, yet do not produce results. This product does. It works. I offer a detailed review in this article. Note: This product contains biocell collagen. Therefore, if you are vegan, please disregard.
